| 4TH GRADE ACTIVITIES |
|
4th graders have several activities planned in May.
On Wednesday, May 1, they will leave at 8:55 a.m. and return around 3:00
p.m. Their destination will be various Independence historical sites.
Full Dress Uniform is required. Students should bring a sack lunch. The
fee is $5.50 per student.
There will be a lock-in here at school on Friday, May 3. Check with Mrs.
Cain for more details.
The annual trip to Jefferson City is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, with
students leaving school at 7:00 a.m. and returning around 5:00 p.m. Full
Dress Uniform is required. The trip fee is $13 per student.
The following Wednesday, May 22 is the 4th grade trip to the LDS Visitors'
Center from 9:10 - 11:30 a.m. Full Dress Uniform is required.
All field trips require the signed parent permission form to be turned in
before the trip.

| SENIOR / GRADUATION UPDATES |
|
The last day of classes for our seniors will be on Friday, May 10. All
work must be turned in before they leave that day.
They will have graduation rehearsal on Tuesday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the
auditorium. Attendance is mandatory. Caps, gowns, and honor cords will be
distributed at that time.
Baccalaureate will be on Thursday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m., with seniors
needing to arrive by 6:30 p.m. Commencement will be on Saturday, May 25 at
3:00 p.m., with seniors needing to arrive by 2:30 p.m. For both events,
seniors should go directly to the Sorensen Room upon arrival.

| HIGH SCHOOL CLASS TRIPS |
|
The junior class trip is Tuesday, May 21 through Thursday, May 23. They
will be going to Branson, Missouri.
The sophomore class trip is Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23. They
will be going to Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.
The freshman class will take a local historical tour on Thursday, May 23.
All class trips require a signed parental permission form to be turned in
prior to the trip.

| ELEMENTARY FIELD DAY & PARTIES |
|
The elementary students will have a Field Day on Thursday, May 23. A
variety of activities are planned. Parents who are interested in helping
should contact Mrs. Kellinger in advance.
In the afternoon, the classroom parties will be held. Parents who are
interested in helping with the parties should contact their child's
homeroom mom.

| LAST DAY OF SCHOOL |
|
The final day of school for 2012-2013 will be on Friday, May 24. We will
have an all-school worship, and school will dismiss at noon.
NO LUNCH will be served today!

| END OF YEAR REPORT CARDS |
|
Report cards will be mailed home to students during the week of May 27. If
you do not receive your child's report card by the end of that week, please
contact the school office.

| SUMMER OFFICE HOURS |
|
The CPRS office hours during our summer break will be Monday through
Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We will be closed on Fridays and
on holidays.
If you need to reach us at another time, leave a message on the school's
answering machine and we will make arrangements to meet with you.
